Some shots of the result of felling a lot trees .... hopefully it will be worth it, and the ruins of the Abbey may well offer a surprise, the jury is out. One thing for certain the bluebells and wild garlic may have had there day........

Nice set.. hope some new ones will be planted.. one of a big tree in my garden fell off last week.. very sad to see it went..at least more than 50 years form the old photos I saw.

I do appreciate that in many cases trees/woodland are crops and must be sold to finance future work but it does seem a great pity to see trees that, in many cases, have taken a hundred years to grow are brought crashing down in five minutes. !! Hope they plant replacements.!!!

If it is all to do with land management then it must be a good thing and the land will continue to be a haven for wildlife and flowers, alas if it is for development then it is a very sad day. Good set of PJ images.
