Pop goes the Weasel

Thanks for your comments folks, much appreciated. I walked back to the car with a massive grin on my face after watching it's antics.
Karen, yes you are right they are very small, it's size in relation to the grass stems gives rough idea here.

St.Mary Magdalene's Sanctuary, Novelda,Spain by borderslass

St.Mary Magdalene's Sanctuary, Novelda,Spain

Thanks folks.
It's designed by Jose Sala Sala, who was born in Novelda, he was deeply influenced by Gaudi.
It is a magical building, almost fairytale like, well worth a visit if you are in the Valencia/Alicante region.

Meadow Pipit by borderslass

Meadow Pipit

Thanks Willie, I see where you are going with the straightening of the wire. I always try to place the main subject slightly off centre leaving space for the subject to look into. I was lying on the ground photographing up the way, giving me a blue sky background, that does tend to make images appear flat right enough. I do have other shots of the pipit with a diffused foliage background but still with the barbed wire lol, they might work better.

Thanks for your time and the modifications.

Wader by dven

Wader

It looks very much Like a Southern Lapwing to me as the bill is red with a black tip, also the eye has a red ring and cast to it.
The southern Lapwing is common through out south america.
Have a look at this link Here
You mentioned a wildlife park, was this in the UK ?
I have a photograph of the Northern Lapwing in my portfolio so you can compare the difference.
Great to see the different variations in colour, there are approx 24 different types of Lapwings lol a right head nipper
