About Me

Hoping to improve my technique through feedback on my own and others work.

I had a film SLR for many years but struggled to find time for my hobby. In 2001 I went digital and chose compact cameras as a compromise between portability and flexibility. The lure of the DSLR has proved too great. I waited to see how low the price of a Canon EOS 500d could go, and finally settled for one on Late Spring Bank Holiday 2009

My other hobbies include horse-riding/ownership, running and 'bongoing'. To the uninitiated, this is the practice of camping in our specially converted Mazda Bongo.

Over the last 6 years the Bongo has taken us all over the interior of France and Spain. I used to have a fabulous collection of pix from our travels but a failed external disk drive took care of that.

I now load everything into a Flickr pro account, and I'm looking forward to more Bongoing with my new camera.
