Looks as though it was shot in high sun and thus exposed for the Nutty and darkened the perch and also given the halo's in the bg.
I presume the post was baited for the Nutty so you could have positioned with the sun behind. Also the whites look a little overexposed. Always a tricky one with the sun, but early or late day will improve the colours and shades a treat here.

Post was not baited, this was shot from a hide at aprox 1445pm had to take what lighting was on offer.
