OMG, a strange creature indeed, but a great shot with a good plain dark background and excellent reflection. It looks more like leaves than a stick. I see some little wings on its back. I have just read that "it has an amazing defense strategy: it will mimic a scorpion when threatened", which that tail suggested to me initially.
