My first butterfly of this summer........a Peacock seen at the Greenbank Garden, a NTS property on the south side of Glasgow.
The image is as captured in camera with only cropping applied.
I may not be around much for a day or two, so apologies if I don't get around to commenting on your photos.

My thanks to all who commented on The Wedding.

A real beauty Ronnie, it was well worth waiting to capture this one. You have a few rare species that are only found in Scotland namely chequered skipper, northern brown argus and mountain ringlet , it may be worth consulting Uk Butterflies website next year to see if any of these are found a reasonable distance from where you live

It seems to have been a good year for butterflies Ronnie, I've certainly noticed more than usual fluttering about and these peacocks are probably our most beautifully coloured.
