Good evening everyone.
Firstly may I apologise for just clicking and not commenting much this week. Work's been horrendously busy again!
This image was taken in the enclosed aviary at Chester Zoo and Martin tells me it's a weaver (he's the bird man, I'm the cat girl!) Pretty bird and such a beautiful colour, don't you think?
Hope you're all having a lovely weekend - I'm just glad to be away from work for two days. lol.

Yes babe, he's a **** Black-headed Weaver, Ploceus cucullatus...And a fabulous specimen too...They are society weavers and tend to make nests in a single tree (whole families of em!).. Imagine the noise...
Beautifully captured, composed and presented, sadly mine have been binned, were not worth viewing, lol...
