I have just got back from a lovely week on the Isle of South Uist in the Outer Hebrides.
The weather was sunny but a little windy at times.
The availability of birds to photograph that you would not get close to on the mainland was fantastic.
This is a Sky Lark that sat and posed for me for all of 30 seconds, a lifetime compared to the chances I normally get.
A chance well used - beautiful, well done.
Cracking shot. Great feather detail - love the crest on its head.
Great capture. I know what you mean, they don't hang around long. Have a couple of images of one in my portfolio. You have caught this one in a lovely pose. Well done.
A real "chirpy chappie" this one. Superb.
fab detailed clear sharp shot well taken
Beautifully detailed capture..........for me there is no better sound in this world than hearing their song when I'm up on the moors......love this

Their song is a joy of course.

To see them fly straight up high into the sky is another joy of this bird.
