Very lucky with this two mins later the heavens opened !!!
Lit by one 500w studio flash with a softboxs and honeycomb powered by that heavy old generator ....again music supplied by ipod !

amazing image - has all the awe and beauty of those massive paintings that hang on the walls of the great manor houses of royalty and the aristocracy. could rally imagine her as a princess out with the dog. she has amazing hypnotic eyes

Yes this is just one of those images with "AWARD" written all over it. You should do well nationally and internationally with work of this standard. Absolutely stunning and quite simply leaves the competition well and truly behind. How on earth did you do it???

A very striking image that has amazing impact it looks more like an Old Master than a photograph. The framing by the sky, textures and choice of clothing all work together so well. I'm sure this will do well for you.

Sensational!! Just everything about this oozes class. An old fashioned pose and background, but modernised to just the right degree by excellent styling and digital magikery. Wonderful eye contact.

Ive come back to look at this shot over and over and it gets better every time i look at it, just to say congrats on the PA and all the awards. I had shortlisted it instantly but i dont think ill see better so you will be getting my award too when it lets me give it.

I saw this when you had just uploaded it and was far too chicken to be the first to comment and, anyway, I was so gobsmacked, I didn't know what to say. Now I've come back and have had to scroll right under the table to get to make a comment.......the award is SO well deserved, as are all the user awards.

I'm astonished too. I sold my house and had a bet at William Hill that this would win POTW.
The photo of the week only received 106 votes and 3 awards. This has got 186 votes and 32 awards!!! To me this is the photo of the f***in' Century not photo of the week!!!! How do the team decide?? Obviously not on awards and votes, merely opinion. No justice at all!!! We want justice, when do we want it now, we want justice....when do we want it...NOW!...

This is clearly a stunning, stunning photograph, but I would love to know, how DO people get such vitality and depth and contrast and colour in their images like this? I have taken what I believe to be some pretty good photos, then I see this and just my heart sinks and my jaw drops.........and I have no idea how to get these effects. Just quite, quite superb!
Just coming back to this as i regularly do......
No disrespect to any other users or posters but this stands heads and shoulders above anything else i've seen this year and there's been some absolute stonkers.

Work of this level deserves the awards and praise that has been showered on it. Supern portrait and sucha wonderful image, dramatic and beautiful. The lady is so special in herself, but you've caught that light in her eyes to perfection.
