The Owl Butterfly gets its name from the large distinctive spots on its wings which resemble owls eyes. Quite a cunning defence mechanism I think.
Wanted to catch the dtail in its eye which I found facinating. I think I just about managed this though struggling with such a narrow DOF.
f22, 1/3 sec, ISO250, fill flash, full frame.
