The opposite to "Hanging Loose". I was lucky to catch a pair of Para Gliders playing on the cliffs near Bournemouth this morning.
This chap was carrying out a series of steep banked turns prior to landing and I managed to get this shot.
I have another "Prettier" one which I will put up tomorrow.
Good shot Brian. Looking forward to your pretty shot!
Cheers Phil, we spent about an hour watching these two play - amazing!
Nice shot, really fills the frame with dramatic animation.
Thanks Eric, I must confess, it is a crop. I think he actually filled about a quarter of the frame as he was about 60 yards away. One of the benefits of a good lens
Considering the light, which looks subdued, and the ISO, you did very well to freeze him so effectively. There's no loss of resolution and everything is lovely and sharp.
I'm even more impressed now I know more about the making of the image. The lens is only as good as the photographer who knows how to use it. I only wish my hands were as steady! Well done indeed.
Very good action shot - I like it a lot.
amazing action shot, really interested in seeing the prettier shot. This one is excellent!
Thanks for the positive input Luis. Tomorrow it is then!
Brian, a well captured action shot, the sharpness and detail are great. Can't wait for tomorrows installment.
Great action shot Brian...looking forward to tomorrow !
Oo-er, I hope you won't be disappointed! LOL
Thanks Mike and Terry, what you don't see is the shots I took that didn't make the screen .
Brian I think we all have that problem
Fantastic shot, well done.
Grrrreat shot - was waiting for your comment saying it was really a self-portrait LOL.
What - me up there? No chance - it not the flying that worries me - its the landing!
These guys were really good, this chap was up for about an hour, ridge hopping. He must have flown about 12 miles up and down the coast.
