Well, I'm delighted with the performance of the EM-5 + 75-500 for airshow work. I've just finished downloading 1872 images shot at today's Bournemouth Air Festival (from the top spot in the centre of the Display
) and they are a better set than I ever achieved with the canon kit I had. I've also finished without busted shoulders, wrists or hands and I can offically say I love this new system ![]()
This is one of many "Shot the moment" frames and in some ways its my favourite as I wasn't sure of I would get much of interest from the Lynx display but the pilots were outstanding.
Enjoy this one and I may add some more as versions as I process them and go - "Cor, lookit that!"
(The background isn't burnt out it was against some grey white cloud at this time)

Try shooting in shutter priority, then balance it to minimise shake but keep it slow enough to get the blades spinning. Frozen props arnt very desirable in my opinion. But from my iPad the helicopters don't look bad at all
nice pose!
P.s. There Lynx not apaches.
