Hi Brian, to me, this is the perfect "rose shot". Lovely "tonimg", excellent DOF. Have you used the sharping tool of PS or was it your camera?!

Thanks everyone for taking a look and for all the kind comments, appreciated as always.

Ariane & Jacqueline - The image was sharpen in PSP (it is in fact a previously worked on and saved JPEG that I have re-cropped and resized again to post here so quality has surviced better than I expected).

Arthur - I hate to admit this, there is not great secret, the camera I used has limited features, I just pushed the camera at the rose and pressed the shutter button a few times, yes some had the point of focus in the wrong place but I usually find if you take a few shots one will be what you were after.
