Many thanks for the clicks and comments for Winter whites and especially to Kate for her User Award
This comes with my best wishes for Christmas to everyone.
The story of the birth of Christ features many angels, and I have chosen three images that I hope work together to represent them
The A is a clay tile made by a Y6 child decorated with acorns.
The angel is a sculpture in the Botanical Gardens here in Birmingham.
The textured layer is fat floating on the top of a bowl of water waiting to be washed up.
..............and the symbolism
The Alpha and Omega
The Angels spoke of glory to God and peace to men - and we certainly still need that
The textured layer- because Christmas should be fun and we should be able to be ourselves, and I love finding images in the most unlikely places [and there will be a lot of washing up too !!!!]
So please enjoy your Christmas and give some thought to its meaning and to the many who will be struggling this Christmas time
Thanks for looking
Helen

Absolutely beautiful. I love the way you are constructing these montages, taking totally unrelated images and harmonising them. This works because of the hint of gold in the bubbles, which creates a link between the other two images .Moira
Excellent creative work, Helen - wish I could see photographic subjects in my washing-up bowl! ![]()
Again, best wishes for Christmas, hope it's a good one for you and your family ![]()

I have to say that it does look good with the black - so I will change the background - thanks for that advice ![]()
This is beautiful Helen - another wonderful quilt or should I say montage? At any rate, you do these so well, and it's obvious that you like to do them!
A wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours.
Anne
