Well almost!
A Goldfinch Carduelis carduelis, taken way back in March of this year, at Chez Chase (Janet Walters)
Very similar to two other uploads, but the head slightly turned away, enabled more catch-light in the eye
No woods again today - clay shoot in the adjacent field
Not sure if our Dan's football is on yet (possible waterlogged pitch), so might have a ride around again, to see if I can spot any Waxwings

I've seen an awful lot of bird photographs this week as GE and this one sticks right out for me above others. The vivid contrasting colours are eye catching and the textures really pleasing, all this against a non intrusive background.
For someone who isn't particularly interested in birds, this one I can scrutinise for a long time.
