Familiar viewpoint, but done very well!
It is possible to move more to the left, and concentrait more on the sunlit side?

I think I prefer the landscape version but this is a good shot too! love the glow and the reflection of the tree on the castle wall, wonderful light and colour. Bodiam is one of my favourite castles and not far from me - will be going back to try and get something as good as these last two shots!

Mattw, positioning was very limited actually, because parts of the moat bank have collapsed due to old trees falling.

Sarah, thanks especially to you for your very kind comment, as you are the Queen of the castles. I want to go back mid summer some time when the sun will set further round to light the north face, maybe a meet could be arranged.

Nice warm light and retained shadow detail. Have to say that I don't like the orange line in the border though.
