I found this, dead[/i] moth on the conservatory carpet, so I took a few quick shots. I then tried to pick it up and it flew away. So I hope that it wasn't having a munch.
Does anyone know the species. Thank you all for looking.

What a beautifully marked moth Brian, when I saw these cracking detailed close ups I thought you'd been copying the master of the moth macros, Ade Osman's techniques
Lol...I love that...how it played dead and then it fluttered off 
Superb close-ups of this beautiful fella, Brian. Very interesing face and head he has. I especially like the sticky out bit on top of its head 
Never seen or heard of an Angles Shades Moth and this really is a treat.
