Morning everyone, looks like another goreous day!

Thanks so much for all the clicks & comments on 'shooting the weir' yesterday, they were much apreciated as I have done very few 'action' shots before.

Well back to trying out my manipulation....

I had a meeting the other morning at a local hospice & of course took my camera just in case - it turned out I was right to do so as it was set in the most beautiful gardens....here's a set of variations on one of the results.

Hope you like them & do let me know which one you prefer.

I think they're both great, with fabulous reflections. I like the olde worlde look in #1, and #2 reminds me of those colorised postcards from the seventies.

Thanks Lucy - I think you must have been peeking while I was still uploading as you missed my first attempt of mixing B&W & colour (plus a little extra punch)! :-(

Four great variations on a theme. On balance I think No. 1 has the greater impact.

4 nice shot
1st and 2nd do it for me sorry not 3rd or 4th but good shots

I like versions 1 & 2. I like the BW touch, but 2 looks like one of those recoloured 70's postcards

Thanks everyone....

[quote]....... but 2 looks like one of those recoloured 70's postcards
.....yes, that's why I chose to add it to the series, the original was a 'nice pretty' shot but didn't have that (almost) 'painting' effect which is what I liked

Charlotte, I really like these, especially #1. There's something about it that takes me back to the illustrations in books I would read as a child. Thanks for those memories.
Best, Bill

Wow. Have a "Bouncing Danny" award. (I can't actually award for another 7 hours, but I will)

1st is easily the best.
