I couldn't believe how alike Ruben and his father are. Anyway this was taken at the British GP in 2006 just outside the main paddock entance.

In cases like this when people with compacts and camera phones are in the way what you do is head towards the crowd shouting "one more photo for F1 Racing Magazine Ruben", the crowd will look at you SLR and part like the red sea allowing you good shot.

The position of the people frames the image, I like how they have been captured taking photographs of the subject matter, as this sums up the atmosphere surrounding the persons presence. The subject matter is captured very candidly signing an autograph, which is natural. I also think the light picks out the subject well, on his hair and forid.
