| Wearing Glasses Quote: I'm always taking glasses on and off. I wear them for distance, but not for reading. It's no big deal really. really depends what you wear glasses for I need them to read so I don't use them to look through the view finder and use diopter correction so I can see the lens info clearly Brian............... |

| Basic kit must haves Hi Nic as you will already have read everyone as a different opinion and advice all be it mostly good. So the only thing I would add is look at others work you might admire check out what they are using research any kit you might need and don't panic buy my wife would kill me if she new how much I had wasted on kit that I have not used or its been wrong so if you want something, far better to save and get what you really want than to buy only to upgrade in the near future enjoy what you have and move slowly but with confidence.

| Street photography. Is it intrusive and unethical. Quote: Quote: Unlikely to get caught with this camera as I've disabled shutter sounds so there is no indication at all when shot from the hip. As I stated when you asked the question on your picture I have not got a problem with candids the bit that worries me Paul by the very act that you hide the fact you are your taking the pictures you have made the decision that it intrusive. I think if someone took a picture of myself openly I would be fine but if I saw someone covertly taken shots of me I think I would be confronting them and asking why and if children were involved even more so Brian... |

| Hi! Eager and willing to learn but how???? Hi Chris I've had my camera 6 years and the only advice I can give you is to get out there experiment if you get a 100 failures and 1 right it does not matter, join a club or find someone local talk read watch but keep hammering away it will all start to drop into place but most of all enjoy.

| Carry a camera! Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ45 is my carry anywhere camera a super-zoom camera featuring a wide-angle 24x zoom lens and 14 megapixel CCD image sensor. perfect for those unexpected moments I also have a ricoh CX1 which I class as my pocket camera. Neither will replace my Canon 50D but are great for the occasion when you don't want to be carrying lots of gear. I do have a iphone but I don't rate it as a camera.

| best lens for landscape work Quote: For a full frame camera the 17-40L can't be beaten in my opinion. However as you have a crop sensor the Sigma 10-20mm (full frame equivalent 16-32mm) is also unbeatable. With Malcolm on this one my 17-40 rarely off my 50D Brian........................................... |
