We so often look, but we don't see.

I literally stumbled across this singular clump if Iris' as I was walking from one spot to what appeared to be a much better spot to shoot photographs.
I must have driven past these flowers and this spot so many times over the past few years.
This day something made me open my eyes and see things I had never seen before.
It's not always in your eyesight but in your heart too.

A bit like the proverb; Look and ye shall find.

Thank you as always for looking, and hope you see and discover something special too.

In my humble opinion John, this has to be one of your best images to date, and that's saying something. The composition is spot on, the colours are outstanding, excellent foreground detail and movement in the grasses, love the capture of smoke from the industrial background, and all topped off with a wonderful sky. Excellent work indeed, very well done. On a sidenote, quite a change from the portrait image you said you might be uploading lol

Uh, wooooooooow. This is superb. Foreground, the industrial plant as a wonderful background, light, composition and not to forget that unique sky. My #1 for the day.

Cracking shot. I like the conflict between the delicacy of nature and the brashness of industry.

Sky's not bad either!!

This image has a wonderful "feel" to it John.
The large version shows so much amazing detail.
One of those images with lots to talk about.

Love the colours, detail, presentation. My one little niggle is that the irises merge into the industrial site in the background. A little separation here would have lifted the comp enormously, I feel.

Still, it's a great shot however you cut it...

This is wonderful work John! it's like 'Beauty and the Beast' with the flowers in the fg and the industry going on behind. Great mood created and the sky is superb too, very well done!

Very nice, the combination of the works and the flowers works really well, personally though I would have cropped the sky a little as the hole is a bit distracting, that said its still a corker.
