Good morning everybody,

This is one of our three degus. They are very fast, and it is not easy to catch them with the camera, as they are also very shy. Only my daughter is able to "communicate" with them. Here's an attempt of bribery.

I'll have a look at your pfs over the weekend, today I am very, very busy.
I wish you all a great weekend.
Take care,
Johanna

An acquired taste these wee beasties, most people would rather have something else I fear, but hey ho we're all different. Try not to work too hard Johanna you always seem to be on the go.

I have never heard of these little creatures. It does look very friendly and maybe a wee bit cute. Two great captures of the speedy little guy. .........Sandy

I've never heard of degus before and have just had a long read on Wiki. Supposedly very intelligent little creatures. It's a sweet capture.
Having kept gerbils, white mice, and hamsters, this definitely speaks to me Smile

Two lovely captures, Johanna, and I can imagine the difficulty in photographing these - I had a couple of gerbils a few years ago and they never kept still! Wink Has to be V1 for my favourite Smile

Must be hard to catch. Do they live in a cage at any time I wonder or roam loose. Paul

I thought at first your had captured a wild rodent in the house but I see these are well groomed and fed.
Nice captures and a delight for the family album now…….Jocelia

Better be sure the neighbour`s cat doesn`t get in or you won`t have these wee fellows for long Johanna, the bribery worked well in V1!

Two delightful images of these rodents, I've never heard or seen these before. I guess they are related to gerbils

Great shots Jo, possibly asking too much but try and get them on their level, if that's not possible try coaxing them onto a table, just an idea Wink
