Our first day's destination, reached after 60km of cycling through a wonderful landscape. Along the river cycling was not too stenuous, but still I was happy to see this beautiful place on the other side of the river. A ferry took us to the other shore and back the next morning.
V2 - one of the ten dams between Passau and Vienna, which cyclists can use as bridges to switch from one shore to the other
V3 - Hubby and daughter on the dam
V4 - Paradiso, one of the many boats we saw on the river
Well, I hope you enjoy travelling with me.
Meanwhile daily tasks are challenging. We had tons of plumes which needed to be harvested and preserved. The house smells sweet from all the jam cooking and cake baking. But we finished for once. Next tree is hanging full of almost ripe fruits... I can't see or smell them anymore! But... I can't let them rot, can I?
I also had to have my camera repaired, it didn't save the images anymore. Hope to have it back soon!
Till next time,
Johanna

Gracious Johanna you do lead a busy life, now it's jam making and baking at the same time in case youget bored with the one. That was a long first stint on your touring holiday. Lots od people would have given up there and then, but not you.
Loely looking place and I look forward as always to the next step a;ong the way. I'm sure I can smell that Plum Jam... not allowed things like that anymore sadly.
Have a great day my friend,
Dougie
good set of images V2 and 3 I find quite appealing
So, we shall follow your travels... I do hope the camera saved more than the first day!
Welcome back, we've missed you.
Moira
A delightful travelogue from a region I don't know at all. Not sure about the plum jam but I can almost smell the pine forests! Visually I find V3 the most satisfying for the perspective and the blue/red contrasts.....
Regards
Bill
Hope the camera is better soon.

over here sometimes the repairs(especially on older models) are far more than a new camera would cost ![]()

Sounds like you had a super time, Johanna
Great set to start us off with - I particularly like how you've got arches lined up in V3 ![]()

An excellant set ... V1 for a vote
And sorry about your camera ...
An excellent set Johanna, the riverscape v1 is my favourite
Sorry for being so late in commenting on these fine shots Johanna, and a big thank you for your pc from Passau, so kind of you to think of me when on your trip, I'm forever grateful.
These dams are very impressive structures but altogether a fine looking and photogenic part of the world you were passing through!
Sorry to see you've had camera troubles, is it with the D3000? I bought one recently (still haven't told Mary that, trying to find the right time to do so, haven't used it yet, for the same reason obviously), hope your troubles are particular just to yours and not generic!
Rgds., Jim
