You would need an umbrella at the moment but there again its only July, a great shot with the tree adding so much to the scene. - gary

I know that view well, and that lovely garden hidden within the walls (lovely rock plants growing in the walls here). An attractive contrast in this, cold defensive stone and a little secret haven.

A long number of years since last I was there but such an amazing & important part of Scottish history. The contrast between the verdant garden and the strength of the grey stonework really work so well in a most excellently composed and captured image.

Attractive stonework and a lovely big tree to frame the castle nicely. The little bit of colour in the bottom left helps to life the image.

It is too my shame that I have never visited this castle Johanna.
Come to think of it,I never visit Edinburgh Castle either, and it is only a fifteen minute bus ride !!
Good shot.

Great comparison Johanna between those living greens and the static cold stonework. Nicely composed.

A lovely peek into the softer side of Stirling Castle. I've never seen this part of the castle and missed a wonderful place for the camera.

A nice composition and capture of this lovely castle, Johanna Smile I've only ever seen it from a distance when travelling further north in Scotland on the coach and passing Stirling.

A lovely viewpoint with that magestic tree and splash of colour to compliment the stonework of the Castle.
A fond memory of your beloved Scotland Johanna.
