Hi everybody,
My virtual tour with you continues, even if I am not as able to tour with you as I'd like. Things aren't working as I wish they would, hubby's been at home for almost three weeks, feverish, caughing, sick... My brother developed another tumor and I've been driving him around to different docs.
The concert went well, the boys were a welcome distraction from all worries... the music all the more!
So here's another set of images from our holiday.
V1, V2 and V3: The monastery of Melk
V4, V5: Dürnstein, monastery and castle (where Richard Lionheart had been kept captivated)
V6: Vineyard along the road, typical scenery in the "Wachau"

You seem to be dealing with yet another sticky patch in your life Johanna, it will come to an end soon I'm sure. You deserve a bit of pleasure in your life, and the chance to deal with one problem at a time instead of all at once.
Your first image is so nicely composed with the statue holding the cross in relief against the sky. A lovely part of the world for sure.
All the very best my friend,
Dougie
Sorry to hear of your troubles - hope things improve quickly for you all.
A lovely set of images - you have spotted some wonderful structures and shapes and you've captured them well.
All the best
Bruce
A fine set, taking me further into a region that I have yet to discover.
I must head straight for Dürnstein, Johanna, because there Richard 1st wrote Ja nus hons pris, one of the most beautiful medieval songs. It holds me captivated every time I hear it!
Hoping that things ease off for you soon.
Bill
V3 for the columbines, V5 for the composition!
Wishing your brother strength.

Hope everybody's health starts to improve.

A great set ... In V1 I saw a face in those rocks ...
hope things work out for you
excellent report
I had imagined the monastery of Melk quite different, more Gothic as Umberto Eco's books inspire you to believe!
An interesting and eclectic set Johanna, I hope some good luck is around the corner for you, keep your chin up, best wishes, Ed
Thankyou for taking me on the tour.
Hoping things get better for you soon.
