Good morning,

it is almost Christmas and I managed only today to take you with me to Vienna. About 330 km lie behind us - and Vienna, as a photographer's extra challenge in front of us. I won't pester you with the usual sights, hoping that you enjoy my view of the big capital.

Have fun!
Johanna

V1 Schönbrunn
V2 The Russian Soldiers Monument and the new sculpture "The Morning Line", placed on the Schwarzenbergplatz
V3 The Koptic Church with buildings of the UNO-Centre (Vienna International Centre) in the background
V4 The Spittelau district heating plant - a Hundertwasser project
V5 The famous "Riesenrad" seen in a window in the Prater

Excellent use of natural frames and reflections enhance V1, V2 and V5 in this adventurous set, Johanna, and I am torn between these three as my favourite - V2, perhaps, or maybe . . . .
. . . So I shall choose V4 for its colour and fun Smile
Regards
Bill

This is a superb set Johanna. V1 is a beautiful, unusual composition. Other favourites - V2 for its drama, V5 for composition and mystery. I reckon V5 definitely deserves its own upload.

Love this alternative view of Vienna! V2 intrugues me and as for the final image, think I am still suffering from vertigo!!

V1 is a truly inspired shot. What a fantastic idea to shoot through the fountain. V5 is a beauty too....definitely should have it's own day in the sun, it is most intriguing.

I agree with others about V5, Johanna. My favourites, though, are Vs 1 and 2, out of the ordinary and so well taken.

A very nice bit of framing work in v1 which I find very good. I also like V5 especially, and do agree with Moira that it deserves its own upload.

Hi Johanna,
I love the effect of seeing Vienna throught the veil of water,it is a marvellous effect and the rock 'window' makes a fantastic frame for it. The first one is my favourite of them all but they are all superb.AnnSmile

Excellent - V1 is a standout image on its own - very painterly due to the way you've used the tumbling water to create a 'curtain' through which the scene is viewed. Love it. The rest of the set also shows a great eye for a different viewpoint. Well done.
