Hello there,
another gorgeous winter morning coming up and I have to stay at home waiting for my new tumble dryer to be delivered. Well... you can't have everything!
Hope you enjoy this image, taken on my last rumble, a few days ago.
Have a great week, with sunshine and joy!
Johanna

hullo there photo neighbour
I see we are both uploading trees today ![]()
V2 just wins the day Johanna lovely detail and oggod handling in the strong light. Lovely work with the new camera. The agony of waiting for deliveries, I know he feeling well, you just hope they'll turn up.

I love the long shadows in V2, but for once I prefer landscape to portrait, V1 has the trees reaching longingly towards the sky.

I am rather fond of off-balance compositions and V1 comes at just the right moment. Skeletal trees display so much personality, too, and these are yearning to march right past the bench into the space on the right ![]()
An engaging simplicity.

Looks as wintry as this around here today! Not quite as pretty, though...
Two wonderful shots, Johanna, think V2 has to be my fave for those long shadows, but both are super images ![]()

V1 for me - which is compositionally sublime - lovely contre jour work.

I was having the same problem as many others in trying to decide between these as they're both excellent, but was leaning towards V2 because of how well it shows the frost, then saw Anne had the same take, so I guess that's it Johanna!

PS. I just re downloaded Google Earth a couple of weeks ago, and was blown away with what they've added, for instance I can stand in the street and look at this house, unfortunately I cannot for yours, I guess the car with the camera on the roof has never made it round your way yet, be warned though it's another huge time waster once you get going, for instance I've gone for a drive along roads I haven't been on for decades, had a look at my cousins house, as well as my daughter's in Helensburgh.
Two beautful winter landscapes Johanna, I slightly prefer v2 the portrait format works so well. We've had some hard frosts these past few days and I managed a few pictures yesterday morning
the silhouettes and soft shadows in the frost grass are stunning. No 2 seems to be the most pleasing one of the two.
I really like your pastel colours.
