Thanks to everyone for their comments on my last upload, very much appreciated.
Back to the 1940 weekend at the North Yorks Railway, and this little lady who turned out to be a real star.
Just a great expression for this one as she waited for the train at the station.
Thanks for looking.
A charming shot Richard. A nice mood captured captured here too.
I can see the facial expressions almost as if she was being sent away for evacuation.
I grand capture.
The empty space adds to this I think as if she has no idea where she will end up. Which is what happened at the time.
perfect in every way
her feet say it all
Lovely candid moment Richard
Love the foot, the knitted doll in her bag and the way the milk churns dwarf her size
Great composition and capture Richard

Have to concur with Helen above, this works really well Richard.
Very nice work.
The image makes you wonder just what was going on in that little head - fantastic capture. Carole
excellent expression she has and dressed up to the 9's excellent all round
Fabulous candid shot that captures the mood of the day
A fine candid, Richard. That foot is so beautifully expressive!
Only the modern spectacle frames give the game away, but I suppose the old-fashioned NHS-style frames are increasingly hard to find.
Is she genuinely worried or a superb actress? Fantastic capture.
I just love that right foot!
Love the stern expression
Superb candid portrait.
Her face reflects the sadness of that time. Excellent!
Thanks for all your comments everyone very much appreciated.
An excellent capture - her expression, the pose, and the clothing all combine so well - it does give a real feel of the evacuating child's worry.
She looks so natural - completely unperturbed by you! Great capture.
Super shot, love it, well captured Richard
So charming richard, looks like she's waiting to be evacuated...Nicely composed and captured,
All dressed up and nowhere to go. Sad but true. A classic Richard.

Excellent Richard, you have caught the mood of evacuation really well in this one,
She does look a natural actress, the foot is perfect and the expression is pained but interested.
A super candid capture, Richard, she really looks the part
The turned foot says more than words would have.
Smashing image Richard, I like this one VERY much, especially Her expression and stance.
