V1 is a superb composition, the fence leading to the tree leading to the building. But V2 tells the story for me.

Excellent comp. in V1. I wonder whether my love of such misty images is related to my appreciation of very shallow dof in pictorial photos and Lensbaby pics in general?

Very well composed images, Tom. Love V.2, glad to see that their owner has provided them with New Zealand rugs in this awful weather! Carol

The old fence is a wonderful diagonal lead line to the misty tree, the horses are looking for company and something that might be in your pocket.

Good work out there in the gloom Tom.

I think they are both great. Number one is good because it has the mist and at the foreground the brown fence, but I love the horses picture because you can really feel for them.

Nice images Tom, nice composition in #1 but it looks like you've got a drop of water on your lens in #2. The poor horses do look a bit fed up.

Both of these speak of a dreary cold and miserable day. Love the comp in v1, but v2 just speaks volumes.
