Decided to post another image from Penarth Pier taken last Saturday.Pictured as the sun rose from the horizon lighting up the whole pier.Really needed sunglasses as was the glare on the timber structures.

The very limited palette - only two colours really - is so effective. I like the balance of the composition, that hint of the actual sun on the right seems to be drawing everything else towards it. I would rotate clockwise by a degree though.

First-class contre-jour, Tom. Decided to try one myself an hour ago but the flare bit my nose through the lens - and that was a tele not a wide angle! Lovely comp. this; I wonder if there would be any mileage in a b/w version?
