... for those of you who remember the old cigar advert from the 60s! We stopped to ask our way to a fishing village (there are no road signs in Cuba, which made for some interesting journeys as we had hired a car) and I thought he looked so wonderful on his rocking chair, so Christopher asked whether I could take his pic and he obliged in style.
Thanks for looking and for your interest in my images of Cuba - it is a wonderful place full of wonderful people.

Your recent images of Cuba are bringing back some memories of my trip there back in 1993.
I remember when we left our hotel at the end of our stay , the staff were lining the footsteps holding carrier bags as they hoped guests would deposit their unused toiletries for them, as soap, toothpaste , etc etc was in short supply and prohibitively expensive.
This is the typical Cuban smile that I remember do well.
Well I lost the comment giving the award so I'll start again.
Fabulous character study full of detail and with the lovely colours of Cuba around your sitter. I'm sure I can smell that stogie in his mouth. Not now but sometime in the future it might be worth converting this to monochrome, it could look good.
Another lovely image from this island and good use of the reflected light in the shade.
