Welcome to my PF, I have been interested in photography from the mid 70's commencing with a Zenit film SLR complete with screw-in lens. I now have a reasonable DSLR Nikon collection of cameras and lens.
I am attracted to the challenge of studio lighting and shaddow which has taken me out of my comfort zone and into a completely new world of photography.
My passion for natural history and the very demanding and often lucky shots of the moment are also so rewarding.

I really enjoy portrait photography and love the challenge of the lighting/shaddow and DOF this provides.

I am 57 living in Essex. I have been in Construction all my working life and I now own and run a company involved in contentious and non contentious construction industry activities.
I enjoy spending free time with my Wife and our Cocker Spaniels Maximus & Maggie.
My Wife and I enjoy travel and have a bucket list of places we intend visiting in the world. (We have just booked our next trip "to tick off the list" to Alaska to photograph the Bears feeding in the Salmon rivers, and then onto Vancouver Island to photograph the Whales and Fish Eagles)

I am passionate about specimen Carp fishing however I try and limit this to an annual trip to a very special place in the south of France which I attend with 17 others every year in pursuit of the 50's and 60+lbers.
