An image that allows one to ask many questions but answers none: a fine piece of work, beautifully conceived and presented and one I could keep coming back to to ponder further.
Ronnie.

Beautifully done. Smile
I'm intrigued by her very modern clothes and hair. A rather sophisticated child who I feel would be more at home plugged into an iPod than clutching a teddy bear. That's not to criticise your work, but an observation on my part.

Chris that's exactly what I've been trying to portray, a child moving to adolescence, one equally at home with her Teddy, and her iPod (in some of the images she was actually texting her friends as I was taking the pics). I will be bringing this to an end soon. I've already done more images than originally intended. I want to move on to other projects.

I've loved this series but I guess it will have to finish one day, but not without a couple more images to make us wonder.

After a lot of consideration, I dont think this will make the final cut for the project - everything else is in mono, and after a quick look, this has far more possibilities as a mono conversion (to follow) .. a lot more sinister ..and dark

I think it needs a bit more work Nick and definitely agree that a mono conversion is the way to go, if only for consistency with the rest of the series. Maybe move the girl across to the right a touch so that she's partially obscuring the door-frame for a bit of added depth? And the doors don't look quite right to me, would they look better opening out toward the girl rather than inward? And should there maybe be a peek or a hint of something beyond the door if it's sinister that you're going for?

Just a few random thoughts .........

Love the idea Nick,great door.

Quote: would they look better opening out toward the girl rather than inward

I think the doors should be opening inwards, inviting her in,yep, perhaps something beyond the door would be the next step.
Mono would be good for the series....I quite like this in colour as an individual image.

Thanks Dave / Janet, I will be doing a mono version, but he doors will remain going in, as Jan says to invite the viewer. Besides I don't fancy unpicking all 57 layers... lOL

What you are probably seeing day is my feeble attempt to provide smoke / aura from the door. I've found a far better method (I think). Moving D accros may help, it would conform to standard composition methods., oh and there will be one other element that I think will, give it another dimension.
