...across the water of Loch Torridon near Annat.
I like also the framing by the trees

This is a lovely image !! Very well taken !!
Lovely shot Dougie.Really like the overhanging sparse branches, gives a nice frame but also allows the sky details to show through.
A wonderfully composed, exposed and captured photograph showing this beautiful part of the world Dougie, with superb colour and clarity in depth.
Very beautiful. It's as though we are peering under a veil of foliage, the leaves frame the composition but also create a sense of distance, they distinguish here from there, if that makes sense.
"After a long struggle through dense jungle we gradually emerge from the foliage . . . . "
Far-fetched, I know, but the deep fringe rather suggests to me a sudden emergence into light after days of darkness, a welcome feeling indeed.
The unusual shapes in bokeh that you noticed were possibly grasses or reeds at the trackside.
Excellent example of how a natural frame can really enhance a composition. Wonderful image.
The delicate tracery of the silhouetted leaves make an unexpected but original upper frame to this shot from the far north, Dougie, captured on a fine day but with the occasional cloud shadow falling over the sunlit mountains.
Lovely composed image taken on a beautiful and still day.......Sandy
Great landscape and terrific clarity.
you certainly dont seem over crowerd with people up there
this really is a wonderful landscape
An overall beautiful scene, but like the framing with the leaves, and also that nice bit of reflection on the bottom right. Moira
A very well composed shot, you have some beautiful scenery in Scotland
Such beautiful scenery Dougie, lovely framing!
Terrific shot !!!!.....that foliage really adds a lot of depth to the shot !!....a beauty !!!
I couldn't have photographed it better myself.
A beautiful image - the trees adding a delicate frame.
The branches/leaves create a beautiful frame that truly enhances the shot Dougie. Superb work.
A beautiful scene Dougie with the addition of the foliage frame enhancing your composition.
Like your framing of this view Dougie, good light too
Lovely dappled lighting Dougie.
A lovely depth with the leaves hanging in the foreground
A real beauty Dougie with that dark foreground and the branches guiding the eye to the island and the mountains.
I tracked you down on Google Earth, I think I saw from where you took this image. What a place! Still missing in my agenda.
Booked our flights to Scotland (24th March/8th April) - my itinerary goes towards the east cost and Borders this time, but should I have a day to meet up with you, I'll get in touch via mobile. Let's see how things devellop. I might just jump over to Glasgow for a day.
PS. Blamey! I forgot to tell you how much I like this image - it is Scotland at it's best! We had another load of snow this morning. 15 cm!
And it is still snowing...............................!

Super bit of light and nice framing too, I really must try and venture further afield from Glencoe
Simply brilliant, I have just taken a look at your portfolio, stunning simply stunning. I have one similar snap of Llan Ogwen in north wales, for me it was just a case of being there when the light and wind were perfect.
