Nice clear shot Paul, and perfectly placed in the frame.

Well here we have the third moon shot as an EC, trouble is this is as good as the others (if not better) so I can't not give it one, but I think I need to say no more moons will get an EC unless they are very different, which probably means a manipulated versions.

Very sharp and well exposed, Paul. Any idea of the magnification? I'm trying to get a good shot with a 500mm (effectively 750mm with DSLR) and can't get the sharpness - I think it's atmospheric disturbance.

Thanks for the kind coments guys. In answer to your question Dave, my scope is fitted with a 20-60X zoom lens, and the picture was taken ar 20X, with the zoom on the CP4500 at 18.2mm. f3.7 @1/49th sec.

I have dozens of moon shots that I think will now go in the bin. Its clear I have a lot to learn about lunar photography. This is great and provides me with the kick I need to try harder. Excellent pic. Well done.

WEll done Paul. An excellent shot. Must be a couple of nights after mine and a longer exposure. Just as I was thinking of trying shorter exposures to cure my focus. Congrats on the EC

I've just seen this! Great photo with a spotting scope-this can't have been easy to get! Well deserving of an award.

It looks great to me. Nice work and welcome in the club of Editor's Choice award.

Carsten

PS: I come as well with a moon shot, with my 300D. in the Editor's Choice award club.....lol

This is a very soft image..Lacks detail and definition on crater detail.
A good attempt though.
All the best
Paul
