Why didn't you take it in black and white? Then you could have colorized it. Wink

My colorization of Albert Einstein by MICHAELGORTH

Glad to see you've used my suggestion and mentioned the original photographer and source of photo. Excellently done. I'm old enough to remember a photo of me with Father Christmas in a store in the 1950's. It was a black and white photograph that had been hand tinted.

Welcome to the site by the way. We just need to correct your spelling of colour and colourisation now. Wink

I think you mean Consul, I know I had one. Nice processing, suits it.

Both excellent but mono for me.

Birnbeck Pier Sepia

Birnbeck Pier Sepia by SevilleOranges

As Ian says a nice sepia period effect. The pier acts as an effective lead in to the main structure.
I've uploaded a mod with the horizon straightened out (sloping horizons is a surprisingly common fault I see - the sea looks odd running out on one side of a photo!) and increased the contrast a touch for a little more definition but without losing the old fashioned look.

The yellow lights and towers on the far left (there may be a separate photo to be had here?) draw the eye away from the main image of the three skyscrapers so I would crop to a square format. Perhaps you could try for a vertical shot of just the three buildings when there was a little more colour in the sky.
I've uploaded a modification cropped to square and also lightened the sky a little.

There's some nice light in the sky and reflected in the sea. The foreground is perhaps a little dark but the main problem is the sloping horizon. This can be corrected in editing software but much better to keep it level when taking the photo by using a spirit level.

Great concept and well executed.

Views are the total number of views including where the same person has viewed the image twice or more.

Unique views are the number of times the image has been viewed just the once.

Good effort if you couldn't see the subject! By the way I think you'll find it's a collared dove.

Being super criticle i find my eye travels with the posts through ---but also with the water going off to the left.
As said super criticle and a lovely sunset/reflective shot.

Your eyes follow the posts to the right and up, then the water to the left and up to follow the bright water right along the horizon. Classic S shape composition.

Chasing the Dream

Chasing the Dream by fran_weaver

You've certainly mastered the timing, very well caught again. Good viewpoint too. I like the mod although perhaps cropped a bit too close to the riders head. Not much much you could do about the BG in this shot, it's too close to blur even with the wide apeture. I'd be very pleased if if I'd taken this and your previous upload at my first attempt at the subject.

Horse Play

Horse Play by fran_weaver

It's a really good effort, very well timed and exposed and the horse has room to move into. The rider is identifiable and I'm sure the girl's parents would love a copy. Improvements? Well the background is a little distracting so perhaps a larger aperture next time to blur it a bit. You could also try getting lower down so the sky becomes the background (but watch your exposure and the horse!).

Shame one wasn't purple with 306 on the side!
