One from Jan on a very moody morning at Loch Morlich. Sunrise lacked much colour but the clouds did add drama.

Bloody marvellous Al, I've seen a sky like this from the A9 passing here, its seems to have something to do with the mountains as I don't recall seeing it quite like this elsewhere.

Landscape format? Excellent, Al. I like the group of 3 sharp rocks. The contrast between the still water and the turbulent sky is very good, and the shape of the clouds and reflections funnels you into the scene. A tint of rose warmth and a strong vignette (natural ?) complete a lovely image.

The long exposure makes the water very calm but the sky is very dramatic - real contrast and very well done.

The only vignette you see would be fall-off from the lens, I didn't add one while editing. Wink

Excellent composition Alan i almost feel that i'm there. Lovely offset of the stones (don't you get fed up lugging those stones around), the natural vignette of angry clouds contrasts nicely with pink clouds, a cool image in every sense, a stunner !! i'll get me coat!..............

What a stunner Alan. Very powerful and full of mood. The rocks in the foreground provide balance and the colour is wonderful.
