Saturday evening in mono and pano formats
Cheers for getting past the thumbnail
That is as stunning a shot of Blea Tarn and the Langdales as Ive seen, beautifully composed, set up and taken.....
Really good mono tones, works so well, how many frames are stitched together here, my guess is 3!?
The fine detail is astounding. Very beautiful and I can't imagine that anyone would not love to be there.......Sandy
This is actually just a crop from one shot Andy, no stitching required on this one
Thank you as ever Ann
Did wonder if you'd make this crop!
And presented at less than 2000px - a very good thing, imo, since the whole image is visible and no scrolling is required.
A deft conversion, Paul, although I'm not too sure if mono is quite the right choice with this particular image.
It's mainly because of the subtlety of the colour original: all those lovely, delicate, receding blue tones.
I think the aerial perspective - and therefore, the huge sense of distance and scale - seems to work better in colour. At least to my eye.
Nay bad, though
A stunning scene ,superb pov
V2 added for fussy b#gger Barraclough
Can't disagree with you Bill [there's a first ] but I do like the mono version too ... although the colour one is the one I'd probably hang on my wall ... cheers
Thanks too Jeremy, really appreciate it guys!!!
Thank you Bob and Alan for your awards ... a very nice surprise guys!!!
I looked before I read the comments, and I too prefer the colour version Paul. (It seems to have more depth IMO)
Shhh, just between you and me Nigel, so do I ... probably why I've just got that one ready for print ... nice big 'un too
