Well to my surprise another Short Earred Owl came for a camera shoot, while walking home on the dyke this fella came and sat on a boundary sign for about 30 minutes, it was cold and getting dark no tripod but i did have my flash unit , the owl did'nt mind at all....Thx for all comments and votes, hope you like this one..All the best Damon.

I would position the owl to the left without cutting or blocking those clouds and position the clouds on the right.
Other than that, it is fine.

very good.
jase.

Beautiful shot, nice and sharp with the bird nicely positioned. The shadow/border thing seems a little overdone to me. I think the shot would be even stronger if it was toned down.

I have yet to catureone in the wild, but you have done very well here.

Great capture, lucky to have this beauty pose for you. I would also try a vertical crop, with just the bird and sign in the image...and I would send this to the BC tourist bureau....it looks like it would be quite salableSmile

This is a great shot, could easily see this as a British Columbia promotional shot.

Stunning shot. First class.
