Like the initial subject in this portrait but the whites in the background are distracting and want darkening down to make the suject stand out more in the frame, personally myself, being ultra critical i would of removed his thumb from the bottom of the frame and spent a little more time cleaning the image up to make it a bit more than a simple snapshot.

Dont know if its the way you have editted this or lit it but the side of the babies head has burnt out and merged with the background.

really like the idea but am sure a little more burning in on the shadows would make this better for me personally to take some identity from her and get shot of the creases on the backdrop
