There's both simplicity and sadness in this image - simplicity of composition, the straight lines of the structure and the impressive blue sky; sadness because of the desperate need for restoration to its former magnificence. Did I hear of plans being drawn up the building?
I note that you're using the IXUS - I'm delighted with mine especially for really close macro images!
