This fella was rescued yesterday evening, not from the pool but from a very boisterous labrador, who only wanted to play with him ![]()

How do you get them to sit so still, hypnosis? Another superb close up and another brilliant beast.
Andy
Amazing eyes, and not something I'd want in my toy box!

What a character this one is
and a lucky rescue from what you say
b...y marvelous. We got the same type here, I think they are very handsome.
I always wondered what the little srcew above the second leg holds ![]()
I'm lichen these close ups very much indeed Carol, this is top quality macrowork
For me this is one of your very best Carol, clear BG's are not everyone's cup of tea but I like it........the hopper stands out beautifully, really well done,
Geoff.
I am glad he is not really this size
fantastic duo
Just brilliant, Carol - in V2 he looks like he's about to say thank you for rescuing him! ![]()

So glad you came to the rescue Carol, great captures and V1 for me, at a later date I have one to upload with a funny story.
Regards
Trev.
V1 works better for me Carol, but once again two cracking images.
Superb shot Carol. This one's a real poser. Hope the dog didn't frighten him too much. My little Cavalier King Charles was only interested in squirrels. Sadly his old age caught up with him and he departed this world 6 weeks ago. Starting to get over it a bit now though.
Jane
I think I see it in the eyes, an empathy with the photographer, gratitude for being saved, a definite rapport. They love you!
I can only upload V1 Carol (free wifi in a Spanish bar) but s/he is gorgeous. Well done for the rescue.
YOU ARE AWSOME, I wish I could capture these bugs like you.... I have much to learn!
