I managed to snap my first damsel of the new year last week, sunning herself over the pond.
You must have the patience of a saint to capture these Carol because over here they never stay still long enough. Fine captures
Damsels....we're still trying to clear the polar bears off the lawn....
3 lovely shots Carol, as Rob says, patience of a saint.
3 gems Carol I do wish I had the ability (and opportunity) to do this sort of photography!
Superb photography and well spotted, you must have eagle eyes, the damsel is so well camouflaged.
A delightful capture.

3 great images Carol, well spotted against the background. You're a good few weeks ahead of us although there have bed signs if spring these last few days.
So far we've had one moth but it was trying to get into the Sun Room towards the lighting.
None of your exotica yet, Carol.

It's a wonder you managed to spot this damsel fly, Carol, as it looks as if it would be well camouflaged amongst the dried stems and grasses.
3 fine captures, all in fine detail.
Three cracking close ups Carol, i hope soon we get some here
It's the eyes which have it in these early captures of damselflies.
So glad you're enjoying a bit of sunshine - it's been peeping out here followed by a squall!
Crisp and sun-baked, Carol
