I spotted this rather tatty winged bumble bee enjoying the nectar from one of the lantana bushes in my garden this week.
Bank Holiday weekend for those of you in the UK, I do hope the weather is kind to you Smile
Don't know if it's just me, but ePZ is running at a snail's pace this morning, so I think I will have to take myself off to the beach for the day and hope that the speed has improved by the time I return to you all Smile

Two lovely, colourful images. Most of the butterflies I've seen latterly had tattered wings too. Guess it has been a very hard year for everything.

Thick mist today, so no great improvement weatherwise!

Ann

It looks big enough to cuddle! Brilliantly caught. I've tried to grow Lantana, but have never been successful, too cold in the UK I suppose!

Two quite remarkable images Carol, each of which deserve many an accolade being bestowed upon them. Very hard to pick out a winner, so I shall divide my vote into two. Another benchmark in which to follow.

Nice to see these bees, Carol: we have had fewer than ever around the garden this year, a worrying problem generaly.

He certainly is a furry little fellow and the colours and detail you've captured are fab. Epz has been very slow lately, although it is getting back to normality again now
