Very little bug life to be found at present, I spotted this weary wasp in my lounge recently, and took a couple of images, one indoors and one outdoors, before setting it free to attempt to survive the elements.

Wow, Carol that first image is spectacular. So sharp, the detail is marvelous. (Oh and you were right about the bg yesterday so I changed it, trouble is I'm colour-blind so sometimes it looks good to me when it ain't Grin )

V1 is magnificent and shows just how enigmatic these creatures are. Living in the UK they are the only insect that I don't like (stung as a child) I admire their beauty but would as soon swat one if it was anywhere near me!

Nooo...not ONLY a wasp. A VERY beautiful wasp and your captures (no pun intended) of it are fanTAStic, Carol. The detail on the head and back in V1 are just incredible, as is the detail on its bum and wings in V2.
