I hope I have identified this gorgeous wild orchid correctly, we have so many different varieties here in Crete, and a lot of them look very similar. I found this beauty growing in a clump by the roadside, I nearly ran over it in my excitement to stop and have a closer look! I photographed it with some white paper behind it, giving it the soft look of a painting, rather than a harsh, pin-sharp image. I hope you like the results.

All 4 are superb - isn't this flower also called a bee orchid? I just love wild orchids, I used to see a lot of these in France & just love them.
