This tiny little butterfly, no bigger than my thumbnail, has proved a real test of my patience to capture! Very flighty, he would not settle long enough for me to capture him. After about an hour of crawling along the ground after him, I finally managed this shot. Tomorrow there will be another butterfly upload, of another tiny little chappie, which proved just as difficult to capture.

It might have been difficult to catch, but what a sense of achievement when you capture an image like this!! It's beautiful, full of glorious details and colour - brilliant!

I applaud your patience and persistence and congratulate you on a superb photo considering the size of the butterfly. You have managed to capture it with great detail. We have very few butterflies in Western Australia so am always interested in those on this site.
