I can never remember the name of this beautiful shrub that grows in my garden, but it always reminds me of a shaving brush! It is one of the few shrubs still in flower, and always attracts the carpenter bees (see V.3)

UPDATE: Ray |(Ray12) has very kindly ID'd this flower as a polygala myrtifolia.

It is a beautiful colour and most unusual (to me), can't help with the real name, sorry.
I love the detail, especially V3, with the bee nectaring.

Whilst in Malta, I captured an image of this flower with one of those bees and have never put it up as I could not ID either flower or bee!!
