These are the very first blooms to appear on my little frangipani in my garden, and I just had to share them with you. This frangipani had a very hard start to its life, it started off in a pot on the verandah last year, but was just one lonely stem with a few leaves on it, and no flowers. This Spring my dear black lab decided he would play with it, uprooted it from its pot and proceeded to throw it around the garden like a toy! I rescued it, now looking very chewed and battered, and found a quiet sunny spot in the garden and planted it, not really expecting it to survive. However, it did, and has now, very late in the season, produced these two flowers, with a couple more buds yet to open.

Beautiful Carol, these flowers always transport me straight to the tropics. They are incredibly hardy and your love and care have been rewarded. I like v1, because of the softer light I think.

I'm so glad it survived. You have photographed it in such a way that the light shows the delicate tones and colours of the petals so well.

Many congratulations on getting this to bloom, hope you are enjoying the beautiful perfume. These grow like weeds in the Far East and should love your climate too. Now it has flowered it will branch out, so I hope you have given it some space to grow! Regards, Sandra
