This rather beautiful (to me!) spider was enjoying the late afternoon sun, basking on a piece of wood.

Wow...AWESOME CAPTURES, Carol GrinGrin

Scary but beautiful spider and it's got a very interesting bum! Especially from the view in V2. Reminds me of a sand dollar.

V1 is an excellent close-up but I really like that view in V2. Shows off the spider so well. Gorgeous light in both, though!

Terrific capture, so transparent ... but I just can't love them. here he is , hanging around up to no good... saw one of those kill a meadow brown yesterday Sad and they are all over my echinaceas killing the bees.
got far more spiders than flutterbies and bees this year..

Hope he put on some suntan lotion. I like both versions for different reasons. V1 for the face and for the legs reaching to the frame edges. V2 for the back patterns.
